Its suction was less powerful than other robots but it was still very quiet and swift in its movements. It didn't mop, however its washable pads were difficult to attach and didn't deal with dirt that had dried on.
Its app lacks advanced features like multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. auto vacuum cleaner works with Alexa but its voice controls aren't precise or responsive. Also, it's a bit unreliable when it comes navigating its way back to the charging station following a run -- other robots can follow a previous route or sensibly follow a wall around until they get to their home, but the RX3 is a fumbler until it quits and then sends a message about failure to your phone.
We also had issues with the intelligent features of the device, including its mapping feature and digital stay-out zones. It was good at keeping our shoes and furniture legs away but it was easily hanging up on cables, socks, and rugs. That's why we chose not to include it on our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price tag and impressive performance The Scout RX3 is worth considering if you're looking for a smarter alternative to traditional uprights.
